New Years Resolutions

I told you in the last entry that I would talk about New Years resolutions. According to About.com Pittsburgh the top ten for 2012 is:

1. Spend more time with family and friends.
2. Fit in Fitness
3. Tame the bulge
4. Quit smoking
5. Enjoy life more
6. Quit drinking
7. Get out of debt
8. Learn something new
9. Help others
10. Get organized

Do you notice what 2 and 3 are. They both deal with weight loss and getting into shape. That seems to be the trend every year but how many people actually stick with it over the long haul. I am talking more than say 2 weeks. That percentage is very small.

Most of these if not all Herbalife can help you with if you want to lose weight, tame the battle of the bulge, spend more time with family and friends with the flexibility of this wonderful business opportunity and even help others do the same.

They say that opportunity only knocks once at your door. Don’t let this one slip through your fingers.

We all want to be better keeping promises to ourselves but 9 times out of 10 we just don’t do it.

You owe to yourself to feel better and get started in the New Year healthy with better nutrition, more self confidence and a clear state of mind.

Check out my website at http://herbal-nutrition.net/Jgabel or you can e-mail me johnegabel@gmail.com and I would be glad set up a time to speak with you.

Happy New Year!! I hope that 2012 is all that you want it to be!!

It's been awhile since my last post but I wanted to give you an update on my progress.

I have lost as of my last weigh in 26.8 LBS and I could not be happier about it. I have been on the Herbalife plan about 8.5 weeks. My avg weight loss is around 3-4 LBS a week which is good consistent weight loss.

Trying to find the right avenue for you is vital in order to be successful in the weight loss. That might be Herbalife or something else but the bottom line is to do something.

Try to eat healthy and to get at least of 30 minutes of exercise 3 or more days a week and you will have a good head start in the game of losing weight.

I know that it is tempting but never give up on your weight loss goals if it is not working for you change it but never, ever give up!! You are worth it!!!! You can do it!!!!!

I wish everyone a happy and safe New Year!

I am going to try to give you better information in the coming year.

Check out my website to try some of these great products that I am talking about.

I have not posted anything in about a month so let me catch you update to what's been going on.

First, of all I have lost as of my last weigh in 18.2 LBS. I think that is so cool. I am averaging about 3-4 LBS a week.
My exercise has not improved and I know to be healthy I need to exercise along with diet in order for this to work efficiently. To be Blunt I am a little lazy and not always good at follow through but I am trying to improve.
I am going to be starting a weight loss challenge in January and I am hoping that will help me be accountable and be more consistent in my exercise regiment.

As far as to my diet or what I call my new lifestyle that part is going pretty good. Some of you that are new to reading my blog I am on Herbalife. I have been on it for around 7 weeks. I am on shake in the morning, a shake in the afternoon and a colorful dinner and a snack in between when needed.

On this program I have noticed more energy, my taste for fast food and even sweets have gone way down. I have noticed that before starting on the program that when my blood sugar would drop I would get dizzy and need to eat but now I don't have that anymore.

Now it is time that I say that Herbalife does not cure anything but when you give your body the proper nutrition it does incredible things.

I am excited about my results and I think that there is something for everyone in Herbalife and if you want to more about it e-mail me or check out my website and let me know what you think.

I told you this entry of my blog would be about exercise so here we go. I hate exercise I mean I hate everything about it the sweating, the exercise it-self, the gym but yet it is vital to any diet or weight loss program.

What do you have to do and how often?

What I have been told if you can at least exercise 30 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week then you are off to a good start. If I did this it would be a miracle but I have to start doing something to go along with my diet.

I guess I could walk around a local park, use my WII Fit.

I know that I need to get off your butt and move!

I totally understand if you have to work up to that because I know I do.

I think that if you have an exercise buddy that would really help, somebody that will motivate you and keep you accountable to your goals. Having an exercise buddy can also make it fun to work out. Something you look forward to and make a close friend.

The bottom line is that I know as well as you do we need to watch what we eat, exercise, take our vitamins and get regular check ups from your doctor.

BE HEALTHY, MAKE WISE CHOICES AND BE GOOD TO YOURSELF!

Today I weighed myself and I lost 3 LBS this last week. It's not a lot of weight but it is a start. Would I like to have lost 10, 20 LBS, yes, but it did not happen.

I know each person is different so it takes a different amount of time but I am not the most patient person in the world and I want it now!!!

This is a reason that a lot of people give up because if does not happen in the first week they say this does not work they move on to something else. I have been known to do that but I have learned success sometimes takes time.

How much time depends on you and your body when it comes to weight loss?

I am looking at the long term goal but there are short term goals as well.

Example: Might be I want to lose 10 LBS by December 15th. Write down your goals this will reinforce in your mind and something you can look at on a daily basis. The most important is to work on your goal everyday. Small successes make big results!!

The most important lesson is not to give up. You can always fine tune your plan but giving up is never one of them!!

The only way you will lose is if you give up!

Next time I am going to talk about exercise and how I hate to do it but it is necessary to any weight loss plan.

It has been 5 days since my last entry.  I have been on this new “lifestyle” for 5 days and it is working. I have not weighed myself but I know that I am losing weight my clothes are loser and I do have more energy.  It is taking some getting used to as far only one meal a day and 2 shakes. There are some snacks in there but they few to what I am used to having. I guess you could say that this is my new normal.

As, I said in the first entry my goal is 100 LBS and that will take awhile to get to my goal.

You may stumble along your journey but the most important thing is to not to beat your self up about it. Get up, dust yourself off and focus on the goal once more. The worse thing you can do is give up.

If you want to give up think of your “why”. The reason you are doing this in the first place. Health, family whatever the reason or “why” is .The bigger the “why” the better because that will keep you motivated through the rough times.

They say if the "why" does not make you cry then it is not big enough.

Herbalife is a way of life and I am taking that motto to heart.

Hang in there and know that someone is in that fight with you.

Please, if you read this blog and if you have some advice to share let me know. I am glad to hear advice, comments, etc.

Introduction

Hi, let me introduce my self my name is John Gabel and I am starting this blog as daily reminder that I want to lose weight. This blog will contain my successes as well as my failures. We all stumble every once in awhile. I want to tell you what I am going through in my life so that it might inspire, help or give you the motivation you need to succeed in this battle to lose weight.

This is my starting picture and I am hoping for a better picture in time. I don’t know how long that it is going to take me to lose the weight but I know want to lose it.

Let people in your life know what you are doing so they can help you along the way. It is a tough and winding journey to your goal whatever that might be.

Some people might want to lose 5; 10 LBS others might need to lose 25, 50 or even 100 LBS. whatever goal you have you can achieve it if you don’t give up and work on it everyday.

I am starting out at 280.6 LBS and I hope to lose about 100 LBS. I am not putting a time limit on it but I will be setting goals to reach my final weight.

My “whys” are several. The first would have to be the desire to be healthier. The second would be to be able to get out and do more, and the third would be simple things like being able to fit on a roller coaster without a special seat.

There is a couple of my “whys”. You are probably asking yourself how he is going to lose this weight.

I am starting my journey with the incredible products of Herbalife. These products are good, natural and they do work.

I have met several people at meetings and a couple of people that I know on a personal level that lost weight and have kept it off. There is one that I met that has lost about 100 LBS in relativity a short period of time and I am hoping to have the same results.

Everyone is different; we all have different metabolic rates so we lose weight at our own rate. If some one could lose 50 LBS and someone else loses 100 LBS that does not mean that the one who has lost 50 LBS is doing anything wrong it’s just that we all lose weight differently .

You should check out the products that are helping me to lose weight and have more energy. The website is www.shopherbalife.com/johng. Check out the products and let me know what you think.

Until next time Live well, laugh often and be healthy.
